Public Notice upon Creation of the Plomosa Mining District of Quartzsite, Arizona

Plomosa District

At a Miners' Meeting, called by the miners of Plomosa District, February 11th, Geo A Ellsworth, was appointed President pro tem, and C. L. Bancroft, Secretary, and the following resolutions were adopted.

Resolved, That, we recognize the name of said District as Plomosa District.

Resolved, That the boundary lines of said District shall commence at Centennial Well, on the Ehrenberg and Prescott wagon road, and thence run in westerly direction to Round Mountain, about five miles west of Granite Wash, thence in a south easterly direction to the Eagle Tail Mountains, thence easterly to the top of the Hacahila Mountain, thence north westerly to the place of beginning.

Resolved, That the District adopt the United States Mining Laws in regard to locating claims and governing the same.

Resolved, That a Recorder be elected for the District, for one year. On motions, Mr. Ellsworth was unanimously elected Recorder.

Resolved, That the time for recording claims, shall be thirty days from date of location.

Resolved, That the Recorder shall be allowed a fee of two dollars for each claim recorded.

Resolved, That these laws shall not be changed except at a regularly called Miners' Meeting, notice of which shall be posted for ten days, in three conspicuous places and signed by at least five claims owners in the said District.

Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be forwarded to the Arizona Miner and the Yuma Sentinel with a request to publish the same.

Resolved, That the meeting adjourn sine die.
